Working with Leah during COVID-19

Many personal service businesses have resumed activities during phase 3. For some, it’s still a day-by-day judgement call on how to proceed with business as “unusual”.

In the world of the self-employed personal assistant, operation manuals rarely exist. Unless you make your own of course, which I admit, I’ve been working on for years! In fact, I’ve created many business systems and workflows over the years only to find they are revised or eliminated often. I did however feel it was necessary to create a COVID-19 Safety Reopen Plan to ensure additional safety measures were taken.

To help lower the risk of COVID-19 exposure, I will be making adjustments based on suggestions by the CDC and adding some precautionary measures of my own.

If you’ve worked with me previously, you know I take an individualized approach to help meet the needs of my clients. I have been and will continue to create a safe and healthy work environment in a responsible manner.

Being I am the sole operator of my business, the risk of possibile spread between another staff is eliminated. My personal and professional interactions are kept to a minimum with people I know and trust.

At this time, I am accepting a limited number of new clients based on friend, family or client referrals. I will increase to higher capacity as soon as it is safe to do so. I will be offering services to a limited number of clients per week on a first come first serve basis.

I am happy to offer a waiting list should new days and times become available for either short term projects or routine services. Shopping and delivery may offer more flexibility as multiple orders may be fulfilled at once.

Below are a few added measures I will be following:

  • Check and record my temperature daily prior to leaving home office.
  • Ask a series of COVID-19 wellbeing questions before working with clients.
  • Booties, gloves, masks will be worn when necessary.
  • Phones, keys, door handles, work related supplies are cleaned and sanitized at the end of each workday.

Important: If you as a client do not feel safe or comfortable, please wait to schedule services with me until you do. I do not want anyone to feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
